AFC Curated is a must see for lovers of Melbourne and Australian fashion design. This collaboration between the Australian Fashion Council and Melbourne Fashion Week sees 18 independent Australian fashion labels under one roof for 8 days starting on the 31st of August. 

This exhibition is being held at the Swanston Hall in the iconic Melbourne Town Hall, right in the heart of the runways and events of the Melbourne Fashion Week

Local creatives Architecture Architecture and lighting designer Paul Lim of ADDITIVE have teamed up to transform the space into a vibrant fashion hub where you can meet, connect and shop your favourite local fashion brands. Nathan Burkett & Dan Webster

A collaboration by award-winning Landscape Architect and Garden Designer Nathan Burkett, Architect Dan Webster and Interior Stylist Simone Haag, has delivered an industrial-inspired studio of modern authenticity and understated luxury.  When Nathan and Dan were designing the space, interior stylist Simone Haag said she was also inspired by the ‘quirkiness’ of the building and Nathan and Dan’s clear vision of wanting to create a joyful space that felt more like a home than an office.

Michael Gittings however has taken this technique and created organic, sculptural furniture that is rich in texture and almost unendingly complex. Through playful experimentation he has refined his technique and we were very happy to sit down and find out more about how he does it, and what inspires his work.

Mini Living - INVERT

MINI LIVING - INVERT has officially commenced. The 14 models are currently on display in a
glasshouse on the site of the design brief in Melbourne’s CBD.


 The architects have embraced, challenged and explored the MINI LIVING - INVERT brief, which
was to create a home for a family of four on a six-by-ten-metre site. For example, panovscott’s
House of Houses design provides a home not only for a family, but constructs defined ecosystems that support specific plant and animal life.

The Staple Collection by Lucious Handmade X Hamilton Taylor Made. 

Luc and James have shared a design workshop in Melbourne since 2015. Conversations in design and process often turned to frustrations with the reality of the furniture industry in Australia. Looking to buck the trend of imported, mass produced furniture that is destined for land fill, Luc and James stuck to their principles of quality pieces, made one at a time. This resulted in the release of their first collaboration, The Staple Collection.
